I wonder why the twiddler has only 3x4 keys?
I noticed, my fingers could easily reach another row, even my pinky. Probably it would be possible to even reach a 5th row as well.
Wouldn't that speed up things dramatically?
Including the "mouse button row", the twiddler would now have 4x5 instead of 3x4 buttons. That's 20 instead of 12. If the 5th row was added, which i know i could reach too, it would turn into 5x5 and that's 25 keys. I'm actually sure my index finger could reach even one more row, so let's add an additional 6th row button for the index finger, making it 26 buttons.
That would allow to type the entire alphabet with single key presses.
Now even if a future twiddler would not have 26 keys, just adding a single extra row would already improve things dramatically. It feels 3x4 buttons are very few and lead to very involved chords to be fully functional.
